"What a wonderful world" as popular saying goes, with the help of our sense of sight we can appreciate how wonderful our world is. There are a lot of things that we don't see everytday and all we want to do is to have a remembrance of it. Photographs or pictures are the best way to treasure those wonderful moments.

Last September 20, 2013 La Verdad Christian College Caloocan, Second year Mass Communication students 2-B in particular. Went on Intramuros, Luneta Park and Baywalk (Roxas Blvd.) for their hands on exercises in their Photography class headed by Mr. Dominic Meily a professional phographer and with some of Photoville International members.

Each students must take their photos on the street. And their best shot will be posted on their exhibit this 18th of October, God willing. The exhibit is entitled as "Unang Pitik". Almost all of the seconyear students serves as their first time in taking a photographs from a DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex).For those who didn't know all of the students of La Verdad are scholars meaning most of them are lack financially. But it didn't made a hindrance for them to learn and of course all of this are posible with the help of God, thanks be to God!

Pasalamat Ng Katawan

There is so many things that happened in just a minute, second of our life. Some makes us glad while some can break someone's heart but despite of this, we're still lucky enough that we still have our lives and we have so may time to spent with our love one's. Most of the people nowadays didn't know how to value their lives and sad to say some end up to abuse theirselves in a cheap thrills of bad vices, anyway we have a freewill.

Praising and to give thanks to Our Almighty Creator is the best thing that a person can do. It makes the ties between God and His children, we owe so much onto Him. Teaching the students how to give thanks to Our God makes a big difference for each students of La Verdad in their lives. Prayers are not just as simple as that prayers can bring hope and makes us strong in facing so many triumps in this life.

In three days of staying at Apalit Pampangga, ADD Convention Center indeed we need a patience in staying there, we are being so far away from our love one's. On the other hand it makes us strong as an individual, to stand in ourselves. Although not all of the students of La Verdad are not members of MCGI (Members of Church of God International) it's still a must to give thanks to God for so many that we didn't know He had given to us.

UNTV

Finally UP Gandingan Awards made a right decision in choosing UNTV La Verdad 1350 in best public service radio program. At last they notice how committed UNTV Radio in public service, this station didn't only entertain the listeners but it also bring good vibes because there are always free services that they offer for our citizens whatever their religion is.

La Verdad Balita,Dear Kuya, Bom Dia, and  Ang Dating Daan, are some of their shows. I know that UNTV Radio didn;t aim just for a fame but their main goal is to help our citizens. With the help  of God I know there are more bhright ideas that UNTV Radio can bring.

There are innovations that can't easily be absorbed by the people in the society that we're belong. For instance, the technology they say "necessity is mother of all invention". For some, they needed to aid it with change and this simple word makes a huge difference in the world of development.

The story of Plato's Allegory of the Cave is one of the example that the word change is difficult to achieve. Culture is one the factors that may affect the decision of every person inside that society. Every word that describes how it  feels like to get outside of the cave, simply catch my attention as a reader that seeks for a change.

In the connection of this story to the participatory communication. The cave stands as a culture of the person on that particular society that, makes difficult for them to change. Based on the participatory communication the people in that society don't understand the definition of the problem. They didn't look at the bigger picture what they can get from changing on how they live outside that cave. On the other hand they think that person who rise against them is their opponent. Based on the story all he wants is to give advice to change, from their kind of living. In the end, sad to say but, they didn't try to understand his point instead they end up to kill him, how horrible.

Sa hirap ng buhay ngayon marahil isa na lamang suntok sa buwan ang makapag tapos ng kolehiyo. Marami sa mga gumagraduate ng high school ay hindi man lang makakatapak sa mga Unibersidad o Kolehiyo. Nakakalungkot mang isipin ngunit ito ang katotohanan at ayon sa datos ng ating pamahalaan sa isang daan nag aaral sa unang baitang, labing apat lamang ang makakatapos ng kolehiyo.

Kapag sinabing "iskolar" ang unang pumapasok sa isipan ng nakakarami ay matatalino, masipag at mahusay mag aral. Napakasarap pakinggan ang mga katagang ito ngunit paano na lamang kung hindi ka nabiyayaan ng talino o husay sa pag aaral? Maari ka pa rin kayang makuha ng scholarship? Para lamang ba sa matatalino ang scholarship?

Iyan ang ilan sa mga tanong ko sa aking isipan noong ako ay nag aaral sa sekondarya, isa ako sa mga batang hindi biniyayaan ng magandang buhay ngunit masaya dahil buo ang aking pamilya. Maraming bagay ang bumabagabag sa aking isip, gusto kong ituloy ang aking pag aaral hanggang kolehiyo. Maswete akong maituturing dahil isa ako sa mapapalad na nabiyayaan ng pag kakataon ng La Verdad Christian College na  makapag aral sa kolehiyo.

Masaya dahil sa wakas ito ang katuparan ng kahilingan namin ng magulang ko, ngunit kasama dito ang hirap sapagkat wala namang madaling kurso sa kolehiyo. Kung kaya ganoon na lamang ang aking pag papasalamat sa Dios dahil mayroong ganitong klase na eskwelahan na nag bibigay ng libreng edukasyon.

August 26, 2013 - Isang malawakang kilos protesta ang isinagawa sa Luneta, ang layunin nito na mabuwag ang Pork barrel ng mga kongresista at senador.

Nag papasalamat ang mga nanguna sa protestang ito dahil sa matinding suporta ng ating mamamaya, upang pakinggan ang pulso ng masa. Hindi lamang mga ordinaryong mamamayan ang lumahok sa nasabing protesta kundi pati ang mga kilalang personalidad sa pulitika, showbiz, propesyonal at mga estudyante.

Wala umano silang ideya kung ilan ang lumahok, ngunit tiyak nilang mas marami ang dumating kaysa sa mga nag sign sa Facebook. Matatandaang nag simula ang protestang nasabi sa simpleng pag post ng isang netizen at unti-unting kumalat.

Hiling ni NCRPO direktor, Chief Supt. Marcelo Garto Jr. na mapanatili ang kapayaan sa kabilla ng kilos protesta na ito.

UNTV Cup

UNTV Cup: AFP tinambakan ang DOJ

Tinambakan ng Armed Forces of the Philippines o AFP ang Department Of Justice o DOJ sa puntos na 117-71, sa ginanap na UNTV Cup sa Smart Araneta Coliseum sa Quezon City.

Nanguna si Winston Sergio na nakapuntos ng 25 at 11 dito ay naganapa sa unang yugto ng laro. Samantala, pinipilit naman ng DOJ na humabol ng puntos.

Gaganapin ang torneo tuwing linggo upang mabigyan ng ng pag kakataon  na maipakita ang galing ng mga manlalaro na galing pa sa mga sangay ng ating gobyerno.

Samantala sinimulan ang seremonya sa maikling panalangin mula kay Bro. Eli Soriano ng Ang Dating Daan at ang palarong ito ay pinangungunahan ni Bro. Daniel Razon na Chairman at CEO ng BMPI.

Layunin ng UNTV Cup na makatulong sa mga nangangailangan, samantala ang mag wawaging kuponan ay mag uuwi ng P1 milyon at ang kalahati nito ay kanilang ibibigay sa  kanilang napiling charitable institution.

Dear Kuya

This not just another radio program it tackles about the mail senders and their problems. I said it is not a typical radio program because Kuya Daniel give advice to the sender with a Bible verses. 

Another thing is, this program give a chance to the students of  La Verdad Christian College Caloocan to dub a characters played in this program. Although listening to radio is not the usual thing to do during this modern days. Through this program, it brings back the way we treat our radio before wherein it is part of our daily lives. 

I assure to all the listeners that you will be inspired with this segment. All of the advice is wonderful because it has a Bible verses and your spiritual belief will be in depth. 

Lastly I am not saying this because I am a student from LVCC but because I am once inspired by this program and it help me to solve my problems. God Bless! and be guided by God!

Interview with my Grandmother :D

World War II

-Name: Rosa dela Rosa Dee

-birth date: April 22, 1933

As I interview my grandmom I notice that after the World war II, there is still pain inside of her. I read in her eyes that during those years she experience a miserable life or a nightmare.

Pain are always there even if it is long time ago, as she describe her life during those years. I felt the pain and fear, indeed it is not easy to live during the time of war. There is a lack in food, shelters are destroyed, and hear children's cry. And at this scenario you will lost your hope.

And with this interview I learned that I must be thankful for every little thing that I have. To God be the Glory !

Why am I here at LVCC

(flash back)

La Verdad Christian College in Caloocan to specify is one of the school that I want to enroll, back when I was a fresh graduate from my high school days. On the other hand my second option of school is at CMU (City of Malabon University) I personally want to study here at this school because it is so near at our house walking distance only. But my Dad did not agree instead he brings me at LVCC to pursue my college degree, at first I did not like his idea but, when I saw this school there is something in me that calls me pick this school.

At first I don't have any idea regarding this school (La Verdad Christian College) but my heart beats so fast when I heard that there will be NO TUITION FEE!, NO MISCELLANEOUS FEE! and FREE LUNCH! I was so surprise that there will be no hindrances to my college degree, I was so speechless.

Now that I am here at LVCC I experience everything that I didn't have before but in a good way of course. And all I can say is through this school I change myself slowly... In the way that I dress, the way that I talk, and the most important thing is my spiritual beliefs became more brighter. And my happiest day of my life came true that is when, I am baptized last February 15, 1013. And I am so thankful to our preacher/founders of this school Brod. Eli Soriano and Brod. Daniel Razon.

This is the popular quotes is from my favorite artists. Art is one of the things that I am interested with, for my own perception art makes the word perfectly beautiful. Although I'm not good in drawing it is not a hindrance to me from trying until I learned. 

Through art you can express yourself and make your own world, and I remember when my friend taught me that artists is the weirdest person in this world.  Maybe in some point she is correct in saying those words, but based on my own understandings these artist got something that not all the people has.  It is a gift from God  that should be express to show the world.

Christian Living Week :D

I really enjoyed this celebration not because we are excuses to our classes but because it is another way of giving thanks for all the loving and kindness of our Almighty God. And also the contests was so exciting and full of fun. I joined at the chorale contest although I didn't have a good voice I still insist in myself that I have a good voice, it's all because the song that we will be singing is a praise song. And I will do my very best to justify my decision to join in this contest, in the end we won! but not as a champion but as a runner up. And thanks to God because all of our hard times in practicing this song comes a good thing in return.

Another thing is we won as  over all champion in this event. Am I too conceited to say this things? And I am so sorry for that, I am just proud of my classmates and all our hard work was paid by these trophies. Our goal is not to defeat our opponents but to enjoy and thank praise God for everything that we have.

I'm Nerissa D. de Vera but you call me "Isay" for short. I'm a Mass Communication Technology student, currently first year and studying at La Verdad Christian College Caloocan.

Many people didn't know that I can play guitar but don't expect me to sing because I can't sing beautifully. And also I'm a skater although its not good to see girls to deal with  this kind sport its all because it is too dangerous. And once you've fall you have bruise and wounds, but for me its okay. Because after those nerve  cracking pains here I am still standing and enjoying this sport.

My love for music is unconditional it influences me so strongly that comes a point that I have to change the way I dress, and the way I look. The music that I'm obsessed  with, is rock music and especially those kind that has a scream and growl in there songs. I'd enjoy it so badly, and of course many people are criticizing me because of this. But I don't care for me its a matter of  choice so as long as it satisfies me I will continue to listen to this music.

Isang araw lang the movie

Isang araw lang the movie is all about the public service of Kuya Danielle Razon (the main star). He is a jeep  driver but with his willingness to help others, he give his all to help those who is in need like in financial problems. What's surprising me is that he didn't have a lot of money but still he adopted many children and give them all they need like schooling and even their shelter. And in that movie I admire his effort to help others even in the real person behind those camera.

My assessment to this film is it can fit to all of age. It teaches us have a good values and point of view in our lives despite of our negligence in our lives. The comedy part makes it not boring to watch even if it teaches us to be a good person.

After I've witness this film I admire to help others even in my own simple way. Just like the moral lesson of this movie. Helping others is like glorifying the almighty God.
